In short, the track bar connects at the drivers side frame rail on one end and the passenger side axle on the other end, responsible for keeping the front axle square underneath the truck. First, if you've leveled or lifted the front of your truck, due to triangulation, the axle will push further to the drivers side of the vehicle the taller the lift height without correction, actually causing your wheels and tires to stick out more on one side versus the other, and even potentially causing issues with your driveline, or simply looking strange. Secondly, with miles and heavy duty use, the tie rod ends on the track bar will fatigue, creating clunking and looseness in the front end.
