Mishimoto has developed an intercooler pipe and boot kit specifically engineered for use on the 2003-2007 Dodge 5.9L Cummins with a Mishimoto Intercooler. After investigating the pipe routing and size, the engineers at Mishimoto identified numerous areas where improvement was necessary. The Mishimoto intercooler pipes are made in the USA and are constructed of mandrel bent aluminum routed in a way that eliminates restrictive bends present in the factory pipes. Along with this, they increased the pipe diameter from 3" to 3.5" to provide substantial improvements in power, airflow, and EGTs.
Mishimoto DuraCore boots and constant-tension T-bolt clamps are also included in this kit. Mishimoto DuraCore technology is the synthetic material that comprises the innermost layer of all Mishimoto silicone diesel boots. Compared to normal silicone, DuraCore provides superior resistance to heat, pressure, fuel, and oil. This effectively increases the life of their boots by preventing leaks and blowouts.
